Belated Thanksgiving Post

I just realized I never really posted much about Thanksgiving, and really this post won't add much about the actual day. We left for the lake Tuesday after we picked the boys up from Mother's Day Out. It was wonderful to have Terril home and to be able to pack the car without two little excited boys underfoot. We made it to the lake with only one stop!!! The kids were so good in the car.

Thursday, we went to Terril's house for Thanksgiving dinner. Yum. Only problem is...no leftovers. This is the first year in a while we haven't been home. Last year was E's first birthday, actually on turkey day so we stayed home and everyone came to us. The year before, E was born and we came home from the hospital on turkey day. So anyway, while it was nice to not have to cook, we definitely missed the leftovers.

Noah stayed overnight with Nanna and Papaw. Friday morning Terril and I were out of the house by 6 to do some Black Friday shopping. We hit Target first. It was CRAZY there. The lines was all the way to the back of the store!! We lucked out and found the much shorter electronics line, so it wasn't bad at all. Then we headed to Kohl's. We did awesome there! And I made 80 bucks in Kohl's cash to spend the next week. (try not to think about how much we spent in order to get that much!)

Then we went to Sears because they had a great deal on the fridge I want for the new house. And on an microwave. We ended up buying all of our appliances there. We definitely did our share of helping out the economy. It seems like lots of other people were too.

Friday night I met my friend Julie and her hubby Evan for a bit. It was wonderful catching up with them in person with out little people demanding attention. Thanks to my parents for baby-sitting!

Saturday afternoon, we celebrated Elijah's birthday. He loves the happy birthday song. He keeps asking me to sing it to him. I sang it the other day without his name, and he made me sing it again with his name! We had fun having cake with Grandma, Grandpa (now named Bumpa by E), Uncle Andy, Almost Aunt Angie, Uncle Ehric and neighbors Jim and Violet. Noah got a belated birthday present and was very upset he didn't get more. He just didn't understand why Elijah got all the presents.

Sunday there was a prediction of snow, so rather than leaving around lunch time like we had thought, we threw together our things and left before 9. We had a great time.
