Terril, Leah and I went to Peoria this weekend to find a place to live. The people the relocation company had us working with weren't very positive about finding something big enough for the five of us so I tried to find a few things on our own. Sunday afternoon we met a very nice realtor in Mackinaw that had a house he would rent month to month. It was a tri-level--crazy I know--and old, but it was fairly cheap and it would fit us. It would be about a 45 minute drive for Terril though.
Monday morning, another realtor picked us up and showed us a brand new-not even finished yet condo in Metamora. It was more expensive but closer to Cat and did I say brand new? We thought that was probably the one but he had one more for us to see. It was further out again and new, but not nearly as nice. We decided on the one in Metamora. The builder is a young guy and will rent to us on a short term basis which is great. We have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs. The main floor has the kitchen and living room all in one big room with a half bath and laundry room also. there is an attached two car garage. Then there is an unfinished basement.
Noah will be happy because there are stairs. We will be happy because our entertainment center will fit and we have all new appliances. Now to buy some good baby gates to make those stairs safe!!
