Dial Up

We are at my parent's this week. They live in the middle of nowhere which means they still have dial up internet. It's HORRIBLE! But i guess it's really a good thing. I can find many other ways to waste time here. Like play in the "treehouse" with the boys, read, go for walks, you know the kind of things that you do in the country or when you have two other people to play with kids.

So there will be no pictures this week. I can't imagine how long it would take to upload them! I just wanted to give a few updates.

The roof was supposed to go on the house today. It sounded like they hoped to have it completely finished today. Monday we will meet with the electrician and plumber. The builder hopes to have all those things roughed in (pipes and wires in the walls, no fixtures yet) so that the work can be inspected Friday before the insulation goes in the walls. WOW!!! We were so surprised when he told us that yesterday. It seems like suddenly they are on fast forward. Now we'll see if that all really happens.

We did get to take a little bit of advantage of the lower interest rates. We locked in a rate a few weeks ago, not imagining it would ever get much lower. Well it did. Luckily we were able to capture a bit lower rate, although we can't go all the way down to the 5.375 it was today. Bummer. But we're still saving 60 a month over where we were. Now if they just finish in 60 days...

After a rough start last night to bedtimes, everyone went down very easily tonight. That first night away from home is so rough.
