Saturday we drove up to the Quad cities to visit some friends. Tim & Becky have two boys, Jacob 7 and Ben who turned 4 this summer. After Elijah and Leah took naps, they took us out on their boat on the Mississippi River. We drove a ways (on the boat) to an old sand pit, a place where they used to mine sand I guess. It was just off the river so there was no current and no boats speeding by. We beached the boat and all the boys jumped off and played in the water. Noah adapted to his life jacket right away and was soon jumping off the back of the boat.
Elijah was pretty much content to just wade on the edge and dig in the sand.

After a couple hours on the water we headed back and spent the rest of the afternoon with them before heading home. On the way back, the boys got to sit in the front with Becky.

Elijah stayed in the back with Terril where it wasn't quite so windy.

And Leah slept.
They live less than 5 minutes from the boat launch, so that made it really easy!
They live less than two hours away, so hopefully we'll get to see them more often.
Thanks guys for a fun day!
Hey there Abbie, of course I remember you! How is little Leah Grace Love Johnson?? And how is the North? We miss you guys down here. And tell Terrell that his mural got praised again, just yesterday. It's beautiful!
