Leah and Elijah both had their healthy baby check ups today. Thank goodness Terril was able to go with me. Taking both of them together would have been crazy. And even though we had the first appointments of the day, the doctor was still over 30 minutes behind. We saw her pull into the parking lot 30 minutes after our appointment was supposed to be. Not sure what that was about!
Leah is 8 pounds 8 ounces and 21 inches at 3 weeks old. She still hasn't lost her umbilical cord, but she says it still fine and it's not a problem unless it hangs on for 2 months. She slept from 9:30 last night to 5 am this morning!! I thought we were going to have a rough night because she has been so gassy and wanting to eat all the time. Guess she was just gearing up to sleep a long time!
Elijah is 27.5 pounds and 31 inches. He is great too. She did put him on another round of antibiotics because he is still a bit congested and his ears were a little red. She said to continue the soy milk and not try regular milk again until he is two. So hopefully we can get all this sinus stuff cleared up soon. He got four shots today including the other half of the flu shot I was told in January was no longer available!! Not sure what good it will do at this point, but oh well.
**Hopefully we will have some other exciting news in the next day or so too...
You're killing me! I can't believe Leah is sleeping so well at that age. We are slowly getting there, but it's not consistent just yet. She's sleeping 10-12 hours, but she's still up 1-2 times.
