Homecoming

Last Friday was an early dismissal day for Noah. It was called a school improvement day--time for teacher's to work in their classrooms, but really it was so kids could go to the homecoming parade! We walked to the high school with some neighbors. L got to ride, but the boys walked, without a complaint!Waiting for the parade to start, pumpkins ready for candy collection.
The kids: my 3, and 5 neighbor kids. Their parents were with us--it wasn't just me!
Yelling Candy Candy. We were at the very start of the parade, so we got a lot of candy. The older boys were a bit aggressive and got a lot away from E & L, but they did pretty good. Together we ended up with a whole pumpkin full of candy.
I think this float was for the drama club. Recognize the house? And see the kid and the old man? He looked just like the old man in UP.
The parade was really fun. There were several bands, some better than others :) The fall sports teams, the class floats, again some better than others, a bunch of other random groups and lots of spectators for the middle of the day. And we all survived the long, hot walk home too. Unfortunately they lost the football game. Oh well.
