Coffee Table to Bench

We bought a coffee table at a yardsale this summer for $5. One of the legs needed to be fixed and it was pretty scratched up (not the mention country) but I couldn't pass it up. It's been hanging out in our garage all summer. Last week while T was off, it got a makeover. He painted the "corners" red and then covered the whole thing with black paint. Then sanded the corners a bit to reveal some red. TA-DA. This sits in the large space by our front door. Perfect for sitting down to take off shoes.

Unfortunately the two baskets underneath weren't as cheap (although they were on sale). I plan to someday make a cushion for the top. And I'd like the replace the liners of those baskets. They will hold hats and gloves and such. Above the bench I really want to put a big big pic of the kids, one of the ones taken at the farm back in August. But apparently the resolution isn't high enough to print 24x36. Guess I'll have to go a bit smaller. Or maybe just a mirror.
