Vegas!

Terril had to go to Las Vegas for work to attend ConExpo--a huge construction trade show. He was to be gone the whole week. He was staying in a gorgeous hotel and because of his flights, would be staying over part of the weekend. So I got to fly out mid-week to join him!

We stayed at the Cosmopolitan. A brand new hotel. It just opened in December. They haven't even finished all the rooms yet. We had a beautiful room on the 37th floor with a balcony that overlooked the fountains at the Bellagio. The weather was gorgeous the whole time we were there.


The lobby of our hotel. It had a bunch of pillars that were screens that played different scenes on them. Hard to tell from the picture, but this time they had trees on them with snow falling. When i walked in Thursday night, they were filled with some wild moving colors. Very overwhelming!
Friday we spent the day at ConExpo. Checked out the Cat booth which was pretty cool. To see all those brand new big machines in one place was cool. They also introduced the brand new truck which was there. It's like a dumptruck cab. One of T's coworkers has been working a few years exclusively on it. While we were in the Cat booth we saw a bunch of cameras and realized Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs) was there. He is a new spokesperson for Cat.

Later on he was in their outside booth. We waited in line to meet him and have him autograph some hats for us. Such a nice guy!
T got to meet Indian Jones too!

We ate two nights at buffets--the Bellagio and MGM (I think). Saturday we spent sight seeing. That night we were so tired and were tired of food. I had icecream for dinner! and t had a cheeseburger from Johnny Rockets. Everything is so expensive we just weren't excited to go eat a ton of food and spend tons of money. Although I think my icecream cone cost as much as his cheeseburger!

We had to get up early Sunday morning to get to the airport. The hotel was crazy busy! Apparently it was club night. People were streaming in the hotel at 5 in the morning. Crazy.

Great mini vacation.
